St Patrick's Day Party and Decoration

St. Patrick's Day is March 17th; how are you planning to celebrate it this year? Even if you don't typically have a party, you can celebrate with home décor or having a small get-together with friends and family this year. You don't have to be Irish to enjoy this great holiday. If you're concerned you won't know how to decorate for the season, here are some great tips and ideas for you.

If you want to have a great St. Patrick's Day bash, you need to set the mood and the tone with the right decorations. Pull out that green tablecloth, some Irish tunes for the CD player and get in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day.

You can even get creative with your invitations to the event. Here are a couple ideas:

• Use green carnations and attach the details on a green or rainbow colored paper.

• Use green construction paper cut into the shape of shamrocks for your invitations.

You should hang a St. Patrick's Day banner in your entranceway celebrating the occasion or event. You can decorate the rest of your home, or particularly the rooms that will be used for entertaining guests. When decorating, remember that basically anything green goes!

Anything Green Goes!

Green streamers, banners, confetti, balloons, tablecloth and more will all make a great gathering for this St. Patty's Day event. Leprechauns, rainbows and shamrocks are traditional of the day and you can mix and match your party or home decorations however you choose. You can also try fun wearable items to keep your party guests entertained and give them something to take home with them.

Green party favors, shamrock necklaces, party hats and other great fun items make wonderful wearable party favors. Your guests will be sure to remember this fun event. Garland is great for décor and also for offering as wearable decoration. Many party stores also sell Irish, green or shamrock lights, swirls and other decorations and ceiling décor to make decorating for your party or event even easier.

If adults will be at your party, try some creative green alcoholic drinks. Even regular beer can be dyed green with food coloring to keep in the spirit of the event. If your party is for kids, try green Kool-Aid or green punch.

Make this a St. Patrick's Day to remember and with or without the party, decorate your home with a little green. You'll get the Luck O' the Irish for sure!
